Are You For Real?
Somebody once said that unhappiness is to your life as pain is to your body. In the long run it damages you and the deep seated emotional wounds may be harder to heal than the physical ones. How do you find your own source for happiness? I mean the genuine, long lasting, "unconditional" happiness. And how do you know if somebody has found it?
The first sign is that they are FOR REAL. Not an easy task when the majority of us are intensely absorbed in the game of pretending to be somebody else.
The second sign of happy people is that they GO WITH THE FLOW of their own personality, as well as FIND THE BEST in any situation. You can feel they are CONNECTED to a source that provides them with energy nourishment and genuine faith.

AUTHENTICITY is a powerful word for me and Feng Shui has many tools to help achieve it. I know it may seem at times like I present Feng Shui as a cure for all, but it truly is a powerful alternative healing therapy (and was actually qualified as such by the Yoga Journal several years ago) To help you start, or continue, on your journey to Authenticity,
first make an effort to look at your environment with fresh, new eyes, as if you see it for the first time. Are there objects that speak of who you TRULY are, or mostly items that are "supposed" to be there and that you do not really connect to, or care for their meaning? Is your working environment speaking of the business you are in and, even more importantly, why you are in it?
At this very moment, the room you are in is full of energy and you are absorbing it, either you are aware of it or not. Is the energy of your space - living or working - the energy you want to carry with you and emanate to other people?
Here are some very basic Feng Shui steps to help you get closer to a life full of Authenticity and Connectedness, to a life lived FOR REAL.
1. Take the time and the courage to throw away/let go of anything that does not serve you anymore in your space and make a habit of doing it thoroughly at least twice a year.
2.Identify who you are and what is important to you/your business and bring this energy into your space: be it images, smells, colors, sounds, whatever it is, make it REAL for you and make it PRESENT.
3. Realize your space is composed of constantly changing energy fields and take care to be "attuned" to the right frequency (i.e. be aware of the quality of air, lighting, colors, organization of the space, the general "feel good" factor)
The period we are in right now is the one of stillness, rest and allowance. It is the perfect time to truly connect to the invisible magic of creation and let it manifest its power in spring. Formulate your goals and desires as clearly as you can and then free the maximum ENERGY and SPACE for the magic of creation to manifest itself fully. You can start right here, right now. Just have an honest look at your space and have the courage and the determination to change it .::

What Future Brings
Before you begin to change the world, walk three times around your own house, states an old Chinese proverb. A very wise saying with many
"layers" of meaning; the ones I want to focus here are the two basic ones:
1. You are deeply connected to your environment, and any change you want to really see happening in the outside world has to first happen on the inside.
2. If you are not in charge of your immediate environment, you cannot really be in charge of your life and your future.

"The best thing about the future is that it only comes one day at a time." (Abraham Lincoln)

What is your vision for your future? And how would you like to change the world? Feng Shui has way too many stereotypes attached to it, but the bottom line is that it is a very powerful ancient body of knowledge, and it has been practiced in many old cultures under different names. When you finally realize that everything is energy (and we did learn this in school, didn't we?) you understand why having a well-organized and high-energy working environment will inevitably lead to a better, more productive business.
From a Feng Shui standpoint, there is more to it than meets the eye, as every area of your business and personal space is connected to a specific area of your life and treating your space right will "ease" your way in life and help you gain higher levels of energy.
This week we are energetically starting the New Year and is the best time to focus on what is it that you want to manifest in your future.
The New Moon on January 29th 2007 is the beginning of the New Year according to the ancient Chinese calendar, and the Moon in the sign of Aquarius brings an even deeper meaning to it. Aquarius is the sign of Visionaries and Those who Change the World. Use these powerful energies wisely, and focus on how you can live your life based on your Visions, not on your past experiences.

Start with your environment. What do you see while walking around your own space three times? Your environment is talking to you all the time, you just have to listen and be open for a dialogue.::
