WHY ARE YOU IN BUSINESS? This simple question can bring up an array of emotions, from joyful pride and true belief in what you are doing to a defensive reaction, confusion and deep-seated money issues. How would you answer this question? Have you had the same answer for quite some time now? Or does it change all the time? No, I am not advocating a perfect life, nor do I believe in one. What I do believe in and strive for is the connection to a deeper meaning and purpose of what one is doing, as well as the process of work as being aligned with one's values. Energetically, it is in this alignment that lies the "spring" of well-being, joy and ultimately long-term abundance and prosperity. No matter how many powerful recommendations Feng Shui has to help you achieve your Career goals, improve Business Success, increase Well-Being, etc; the important thing to understand is that they are only as good as: a) you actually applying them; b) you being committed to achieving your goals. Here are three basic steps to help you move & refresh the energy connected to your Career: Just take a big box and quickly place there everything you have not been using for quite a while. If you are brave enough, you can let go of it right away; if you need more time, just "make a date" with it in about 2 months and then decide upon its fate. 2.Make it visible! Take a deep look at what represents Your Aspirations and Goals and find a Visual Representation for them. You may have to work in a medical office for now, but do not give up on your dream of designing stunning wedding cakes! Surround yourself with many images of mouthwatering creations, happy couples with the cake, new trends in the industry, etc. While you may not be able to go wild with it at your current workplace, go for it at home. The West area of your place will be energetically supportive to "post your dreams", as well as your Bedroom. (We absorb surrounding us energies while we sleep.) The need to make it visible doesn't mean to have it big and loud - it can be one small photo that is so emotionally charged for you - it will help you move mountains! 3.Take care. In terms of Chi, or Vital Energy, the North area of your Space (Home or Office) is connected to the manifestation of Your Career energy, or Path in Life. Taking proper care of this area would mean following the basics, such as keeping it clean and organized, as well as going into more advanced Feng Shui and strengthening the energy of Water in the North. To strengthen the Water element, you can place an actual water feature (a small indoor fountain) images of water (see here) or emphasize colors black or blue in your decor (black frames or black files, blue wall, etc.) Focus on avoiding Fire or strong Earth elements and emphasizing Water and Metal (as expressed in Shapes, Colors or Actual Objects) See this issue for color representation of the Five Feng Shui Elements. Striving for a good energy flow in your Home or Office doesn't mean your life will be perfect. It means you are finally committing to yourself and it is this energy that moves the mountains and attracts to you the best solutions, people and resources. It means you are finally realizing what physics (and mystics!) have been telling us all along: everything is made up of energy and we are in a state of constant energy exchange.
