THINK ABOUT IT
"Long after people forget what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel."
(T.Sanders)
Activity vs Productivity: When the Crazy Boss is You

"I like work: it fascinates me.
I can sit and look at it for hours."
(Jerome K. Jerome)
You may or may not be self-employed, but when it comes to managing your life, you are your only boss. Are you doing a good job or are you being a crazy head that pushes one to the limits and taxes the system to exhaustion?

Yes, being active and being productive are definitely not the same thing and hard work does not always equal great work! The ultimate wisdom is in achieving more with less effort and finding pleasure in everything you do. As my favorite aunt Inna used to say (how much I regret not taking her amazing cooking classes, but that's a different story!) to stay healthy you better learn to love what you have to do.

It's all in your attitude & what you focus your energy on. Speaking of energy, below are some quick feng shui suggestions to get you from the "AA" Zone: Always Active one to the "EE" zone: Energizingly Efficient one. All around us being just frequencies and vibrations, let's first focus on the most basic, fundamental manifestations of energy: Sound and Light.

SOUND: Find an alarm clock with an option of soothing, gently energizing sounds and program it for different occasions (the Now and Zen company has some awesome alarm clocks I love) You want to wake up to gentle soothing sounds of a blessing for the newly born day, rather than an army horn that pushes you into overdrive while you still might be far away in your dreams.

LIGHT: Avoid harshly waking up your system early in the morning with bright, intimidating bathroom or kitchen lights. Invest in several layers of lighting, or put a dimmer switch, to allow your body to gently transition from one stage to another before being fully awakened. Can you imagine the sun in the sky suddenly rushing into the 12 o'clock position right as the moon fades out? Don't do that to your system, watch the patterns in nature and learn to be gentle with yourself. Smooth transitions are important, they allow you to save & store precious energy you need for achieving the many tasks ahead of you.

Stress that we are not aware of damages us the most, says Gabor Mate in his excellent book "When the Body says No". Start paying more attention to what drains your energy throughout the day and find ways to change the situations that cause that invisible (or way too visible!) stress. In over 90% of highly stressful and busy lives, by changing the energy flow in your space (home and business), you will get back great levels of personal energy allowing you to sustain the desired quality of life. ::

How Feng shui-ed is your Website?
Do you know that books with a predominant green color on the cover sell much less than the books presented in other colors? It is a common fact between graphic designers, but does it also apply to the web? The internet changed our lives forever in a multitude of ways (the aspects I am mostly grateful for are the speed of communication and the millions of saved trees.) How did the Internet change your marketing strategy?

Do you still have the same website you had 3-5 years ago? When is the last time you took a critical look at your website to see if it actually works?
The design element maybe very subjective, but the mistakes made in the process of creating (or recreating) a website are very common. What makes a website very successful/high in sales and leads versus the one that just doesn't work?

Here is what I am thinking: For the marketing evaluation of your on-line presence, I am considering partnering with Stephanie Diamond from Digital Media Works, Inc. Stephanie is a seasoned on-line marketing professional who has worked for 8 years as a Marketing Director for AOL and created a line of software products that sold millions of copies. Here is her website DigitalMediaWorks.com and here is her blog MarketingMessageBlog.com Please take some tome to look it over and tell me what you think. We are discussing various options of teaming up and having a feng shui analysis included as part of the website marketing strategy analysis.

Would you sign-up for this innovative service? How much do you think it is worth investing into? Do let me know, I always appreciate your feedback. Evaluating your business space on the Web is as important as evaluating your actual physical environment. Visitors will either connect, or not, in the first minute, if not even seconds of looking at your website. Treat them well and treat them right: express your passion, expertise and the reason for being in business in a clear and strong voice. ::

Feng Shui Cell Phone by Motorola (cont'd)
To be able to do Feng Shui evaluation this cell phone will have the following features:

* Three-dimensional Hall-effect sensor for measuring the strength of electromagnetic fields and to form a compass to determine the geographic direction in which the main door of the house faces.
* Digital camera to determine color saturation, order and balance of the surroundings.
* GPS receiver to determine geographic location of the phone.
* Cell phone microphone is used to measure noise level of the location.
* AM/FM radio to measure the AM and FM transmission strength and the distance form nearest AM/FM towers.

When you want to carry out a feng shui analysis of a particular building or location you take some pictures of the surrounding area, point the phone to the main wall of the house and press the button. The results will be displayed as a summary indicating positive, neutral, or negative chi.

Here's a bit more info from the initial report on unwiredview.com. Way to go, Motorola!!! ::
